Local professional artist, Maxine Dodd, joins us approximately every three weeks and provides
a demonstration and exploration of the chosen topic.
Maxine is a contemporary watercolour and mixed media artist.
She is a member of the Leicester Society of Artists, the Leicester
Sketch Club and the Harborough Artists Cluster. Maxine has exhibited
in the Mall Galleries and The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour
in London and, more locally, in the Leicester Museum and Art Gallery with
solo exhibitions in the Alfred East gallery in Kettering .

Maxine will generally identify the key areas of importance in painting/drawing the topic and explain
ways and means of tackling some of the more challenging ones. Her presentation will generally be at the
start of the session and last about 40 to 50 minutes, after which she will lend assistance and advice for
the remainder of the 3 hours while we all "have-a-go" at the topic. Participation in the topic is not
compulsory and some members prefer to "do their own thing" and simply ask Maxine for guidance as and when needed.
